Mil Heridas Espinoza Paz is a Sinaloa-based regional Mexican singer/songwriter who wrote hundreds of songs for others before launching his own music career in 2007. Isidro Chávez Espinoza was born in La Angostura, Sinaloa, Mexico, and composed his first song when he was 11 years old. In 1996, he moved to Sacramento, California, to work as an agricultural worker, but when his mother died, he returned to his hometown to seek a career as a singer/songwriter. El Coyote, a famous Sinaloense banda singer, helped him break through by recording his songs and turning them into successes, starting with “Besitos en el Cuello,” “Prohibido,” and “Para Impresionarte” in 2005-2006. Sergio Vega, La Arrolladora Banda el Limón, Banda Cuisillos, Julio Chaidez, Banda de Jerez, Jenni Rivera, Chuy Lizarraga, Adair Elizalde, El Potro de Sinaloa, El Chapo de Sinaloa, and Duelo were among the many regional Mexican musicians for whom Paz wrote songs. His work with Banda Cuisillos was particularly noteworthy, as they used five of his songs on their successful return album, Mil Heridas (2007), including the smash hit title tune. Paz began his own music career the following year, releasing Paz en Tu Corazón, his first full-length solo album, in collaboration with Nueva Generacion Music Group. Paz was given a recording deal with the big label Universal Latino, which published the album El Canta Autor del Pueblo (2008) on its Machete Music subsidiary before releasing another independently released album, Amigo with Derechos (2008). El Canta Autor del Pueblo included previously released classics including “El Celular” and “Amigo con Derechos,” as well as the smash song “El Proximo Viernes,” which charted in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks list. Disa published the compilation CD Mis Éxitos with Tololoche later that year.

Yo No Canto, Pero Lo Intentamos On the charts, Paz proved to be a twofold danger. Not only were his own albums selling well, but he was also penning big successes for other musicians, both well-known and up-and-coming. His 2009 song “Lo Intentamos,” a pre-release for Yo No Canto, Pero Lo Intentamos, went platinum in Mexico and reached number one on the radio charts and Top Latin Albums rankings. During this time, La Arrolladora Banda el Limón, Jenni Rivera, Calibre 50, Julión Lvarez, and Duelo were among others who sought his music.

Del Rancho Para El Mundo The hit streak continues. In the following years, his new albums all charted: Del Rancho para el Mundo (his multi-platinum best-selling album), Canciones Que Duelen (numbers two and one on the Latin Albums charts, respectively), and his 2012 collection Un Hombre Normal (which went five times gold in Mexico). His singles have charted successfully in different countries. Paz was named Songwriter of the Year at the 2011 Billboard and BMI Latin Music Awards. In addition, his duet songs with Jenni Rivera (“No Llega el Olvido”), Maria Jose (“As o Más”), and Paulina Rubio (“Me Voy”) performed well at radio, charted, and sold well.

Paz unexpectedly announced his retirement at the conclusion of the year due to a disagreement with his management and label. He did not record any new albums in the following year, although he did feature on duet singles with Gerardo Ortiz (“Te Pudiera Deci”) and Tito Torbellino (“Te La Pasa”). In 2014, he performed with Banda el Limon at the Latin Grammy Awards and released the number six song “Por Que La Engane?” In 2015, he released a duet with Juan Luis Guerra, “Siempre en Mi Mente,” as well as a solo song, “Perd la Pose,” which was nominated for Song of the Year at the Latin Grammys.

Para Mí Ex In 2016, his songs’ high chart success over the preceding three years paid dividends. His debut for the indie label O Music, Para Mi Ex, reached the top of the Mexican charts.

The claudia kelly y espinoza paz is a song by the American singer-songwriter, Claudia Kelly. It was released on November 12, 2017 as the lead single from her fifth studio album, Honey.
